![]() So why is windows terminating power to the MIDI USB? The MIDI USB unit stayed powered up, the RED led power indicator on, even afterĪbout 10minutes, still powered on and working. To add to this I tested against Vista with a plain USB power source that I normally charge my phone with. Vista deliberately cut the power to it during the driver installation. Units power indicator turns off and the driver installation fails (the problem it had, I found via the device manager) and the device has a 'Code 10, device could not start.' Yeah can't start because Vista cut the power off. After about 30 seconds to 1 minute, windows appears to cut the power off, the MIDI Vista immediately begins installing drivers, a Red light (indication power) appear on USB MIDI unit. I plug all cables in as above, turn on my keyboard and plug the USB in. ![]() ![]() packaging says its supposedly Vista compatible.Ĭables and the device itself are in brand new condition and aren't damaged at all. The device is brand new, only got it today. ![]()
